What we’re doing next…
The last two years have laid the groundwork. The next phase is about building on it: growing our membership, deepening our education, and bringing working-class organisers together at a scale we haven’t attempted before.
We are still committed to doing this slowly, collectively and with care. Growth only matters if the people doing the work can sustain it. Everything below is planned with that in mind.
Growing our working-class core
We are opening ARC to a new intake of members. Our callout goes out on Friday 18 September, and everyone who applies will hear back from us.
New members will join in spring 2027. Each will have a mentor and a buddy from their first day, a stipend that recognises their time, and a structured programme to develop their skills, analysis and confidence as organisers. We are growing because the demand for this work is growing, and because it should never rest on a handful of people.
We are looking for anyone interested in and actively engaged in class struggle, from those just starting their organising lives to those with decades of experience. Primarily looking for working-class members, we are also bringing in a small number of middle-class and petit-bourgeois members, ready to commit to working-class struggle.
Piloting our 2 year working-class education series
This month, we began a pilot of a two-year study series for those organising and educating around class.
Over the next two years, participants will work through class theory and analysis alongside the realities of organising, connecting ideas to the struggles they are part of. It is our longest and most ambitious education programme yet, and a sign of what we mean by building slowly: class consciousness develops through sustained learning together, not one-off sessions.
Working-Class Organisers Training Programme
We are developing a new twenty-one session training programme for working-class organisers, starting in 2027.
Where our theory and practice series builds analysis, this programme focuses on the craft of organising. It covers the practical and relational side of the work, the political and analytical, the structural, and the cultural work of building organising spaces that don’t burn people out. It is written for working-class organisers who are already doing the work, and is designed to be delivered as a full sequence with a consistent group over time, not as stand alone workshops
The Working-Class Organisers Gathering
We are working to bring working-class organisers from across the country together in a large national gathering, planned for 2027.
Working-class organisers too often work in isolation, carrying the weight of their communities with little recognition or support. This gathering is a chance to change that: to share what we know, sharpen our analysis, build relationships across places and struggles, and start to act as a movement rather than scattered individuals.
The Class Treachery Gathering
We plan to hold a gathering for people in middle-class and petit-bourgeois positions who want to commit materially to working-class struggle.
Allyship is not enough. This gathering is for people ready to move beyond good intentions and face what their class position is and does, and to put their resources, loyalty and labour where they count.
Deepening our education
Our Exploring Class workshops and online series will continue, shaped by what we learn each time we run them. Alongside them, we are developing a new Understanding Class workshop, following on from Exploring Class for groups ready to go further.
Our members will keep studying together too. Our internal education is how we make sure ARC’s analysis stays sharp, collective, and rooted in the struggles our members are part of.
Supporting redistribution
We will keep supporting working-class-led wealth redistribution groups, connecting those doing this work and strengthening the conditions that let redistribution stay collective, accountable and led by working-class people. Moving wealth is not charity. It is part of how we change who can afford to organise.
The ARC Centre
Looking further ahead, we want to build a permanent physical home for working-class resistance: a space to gather, learn, organise and share resources, owned and shaped by the people who use it.
This is a long-term goal, and we will only pursue it when we have the foundations to do it properly. But we believe working-class movements deserve spaces of their own, not borrowed rooms on someone else’s terms.

And if you can fund this work, we want to hear from you. Working-class leadership cannot be sustained without resources.
The long view
None of this will end class inequality on its own. We are one part of a much bigger struggle, and we know it will take generations. But every organiser who stays in the work, every relationship built across places and struggles, and every pound moved to where it is needed brings that struggle a step further.
